Our Story Begins Here

Munduk.
A land wrapped in mist, forests, and winds that carry silence.
In our culture, every family has a small temple within their home. Inside it, there is always one structure that represents Pura Besakih, our Mother Temple, East of Bali (Karang Asem).

In the time of my great-grandparents, the journey to Besakih was extremely difficult. The roads were not like today, it took days of walking through hills and mountains to reach that sacred place. Because of this, our ancestors built a small representation of Besakih inside each family temple, a way to bring the spiritual center closer to home, even when the real one was far away. This concept unknowingly shaped the way I see the world.

When something feels too far to reach, we create a representation of it near us, so our soul remains connected to a dream we have not yet touched.

This is how Moondock Luxury Camp was born.

I had never set foot in Norway, yet I always felt inspired by its Tromsø iglo house, its silence, the colors of its sky, and its Nordic design. So, just like my ancestors who built a representation of Besakih in their family temples, I built Moondock as a representation of my dream of Norway, a place born from a dream that still lay far away in the north.
